Dr. Bhooshan Shanbhag, M.Sc., Ph.D. is Associated with financial markets since 1992-93. He has experience of technical analysis since 2000. Dr. Shanbhag has currently appeared for CMT3.He is also a lead author for investment weekly Informed Investor for over three years. He also conducts training programmes for Techncial Analysis and in Derivatives - about 20 programmes conducted so far for small investors.
Dr. Shanbhag is a member of special high powered committee constituted for starting M.Sc.(Finance) in University of Mumbai & also a member of Syllabus Committee for M.Sc. (Finance) - the course will be starting from June 2012.
Dr. Shanbhag is currently working on a book on Technical Analysis for lay man.

Oscillators that are used as tools of Technical Analysis have a specified time frame. However, these time frames are historically specified and many Analysts apply them without questioning the applicability in changing times. When the same oscilators are used at different time horizons in the terms of trading periods as well as in the terms of available data, they show that the exact application may not be as useful as varying some parameters. In this lecture we will get an insight into different oscillators and indicators as applied to intra-day basis as well as to positional trades. Moreover, benefit of changing time frame from the conventional one gives rise to a modified oscillator that better represents the price changes and trend changes, which will be discussed.
