Level 1 is always something of a new experience as some of us restart the studying process others start it as a change of career some as an increase in knowledge while for some an addition to what they already know.
Share your thoughts on this experience from the preparation process to the exam itself, what difficulties you had and from where you got help , so that others can gain from your ideas and thoughts and you can understand your short comings (if any) by discussing it here.
** Exam Questions and related material are not to be discussed here or anywhere else**

Clearing CMT level is a great experience.it has been long gap of more than 10 years, since i have to started studying again.
To begin with at the start of the program i had no friends to discuss the study material,so first i started a ATMA forum for all those candidates who wished to come together to assist each other.i made some good friends from level 1 & 2. I attended each ATMA meeting where i gained some usefull insights about CMT exam from Mr.Sushil kedia and Mr.Vishal Malkan.
While preparing for the exam,,,there are no short-cuts ,you have to read each book at least twice as the actual exam is not as easy as it appears in sample questions.i had some problem areas in Statistic which were solved in level 1 webinar.

It was a very exhausting experience physically for me personally with 48 hours of No Sleep LOL , on the positive sides it gives me immense pleasure to say that I have cleared CMT level 1 furthermore had a great time interacting with 30 different people who were all there [Gurgaon centre] giving various Levels Exam.
In order to clear CMT Level 1 its my opinion that reading the recommended study guide atleast once is absolutely mandatory , giving CMT exam based on "sample papers" --> God help You (perhaps real trading experience can save the lucky soul)

Some grueling months of late nights finally paid off, level 1 is behind, looking at level 2 now.
Completely agree with Nikhil that going through the study materials is absolutely essential, you never know where a jewel is hiding, in which paragraph of which chapter. Also, keeping notes while studying helped me a lot, especially, during the revision phase.
Secondly, a webinar session from malkansview.com on 4th week of April was also helpful, thanks a lot to them for their selfless service. Although there rose some confusion about inclusion of Kaufman in level 1, it was later clarified that Kaufman comes in level 2 & not in level 1, thanks to Jeanette for the clarification. Inspite of these little hiccups, the webinar session and the subsequent power point file that was sent afterwards was a helpful input to my preparation & I will attend the same again if they tend to organize it again before level 2.
Finally, something about Prometric. It was my first experience with them, today. I found them absolutely professional & very efficient. However, some of their rules are ostensibly meaningless. For example, not permitting the water bottles inside was perhaps harsh. I took a break during exam for drinking water. They made me sign twice for that, once while leaving the seat, once for re entering into the hall. I was okay with that. But it was not okay when the staff kept cancelling my signatures time and again, and made me sign again & again, for it was not matching 100% with my signature on pan card, all while the watch on my screen kept ticking. I lost 5 precious minutes in that.
Anyway, all is well that ends well. Feeling very content & satisfied tonight. Level 2 starts from tomorrow.

Prometric test centres were awesome. I couldnt clear but actually came to know what metal they need as sample questions set can hardly be relied on . I would suggest 2 pure readings and definitely trading experience and hand written notes. Dont mug up its truly conceptual> Anybody who can help me out me out next time
