STEP 1: Find three current MTA members who have already acquired "Member Status" to be your sponsors. If you do not know anyone, you can view a listing of all Members with "Member Status" who are willing to sponsor new candidates.

Link to the list of members willing to sponsor
www.mta.org/eweb/dynamicpage.aspx?webcod...bers-willing-sponsor

• All those included on this list have opted-in and welcome your introductary e-mail or phone call.
• Take advantage of the "randomize" feature on the list to select a variety of sponsors
• Try to select at least one sponsor in your area so you can develop a future relationship with

STEP 2: Fill out the Application for Member Status entirely. Contact Cassandra Townes if you have any questions about the application.

STEP 3: Direct your sponsors to the Sponsor Questionnaire and ask them to fill it out as soon as possible. You may direct them to go.mta.org/sponsorme

Sir,

one of the requirements in granting CMT designation is

"Have been gainfully employed in a professional analytical or investment management capacity for a minimum period of three (3) years and must be regularly engaged in this capacity at the time of successfully passing all three (3) levels of the CMT Exam"

What in case a person is not employed,or In case he is self employed as a technician or technical analyst,

Why is this provision, If a person successfully clears all 3 levels the designation must be given, or the syllabus must be made in such a way that only a practicing Technical analyst gets through the exams.

This question is just of curiosity but MTA should think over this .

Thanks
