I have two questions:

1) Can anyone explain to me various things to keep in mind while selecting a reliable data provider for charting software?

2) I would appreciate if you may suggest some reliable data providers. My requirements are:

- Intraday/realtime data on international and domestic commodities alongwith EOD data
- Intraday/realtime data on Nifty, Banknifty futures with EOD data of the underlying asset
- EOD data for all other equity instruments

I use Amibroker as my charting software.

You can go for ESignal, they are the best in the business, and expensive too.

Can also try: Top data India

If you are looking for free ones then google for : GetBhavcopy and Hakija downloader
(these both are eod only i suppose)

Free ones are quite unreliable as opposed to paid ones. An Indian provider is good to start with i would suggest.

If you are loking for a cheap solution for realtime then you can try realstocksdata.com as well. I have been using them for few months now & they are pretty decent at 500rs per month. Unless you want or need to trade ticks; i will recommend using it for 1 month & if you are satisfied you can continue with them.
